Scripture: “Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always.” — 1 Chronicles 16:11
Reflection:
In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to seek many things—success, security, approval—but God calls us to seek His face above all else. To seek God's face means to pursue His presence, to long for intimacy with Him, and to align our hearts with His will.
Throughout Scripture, we see that God desires a close relationship with His people. Moses sought God’s face on Mount Sinai, and his encounter left him radiant (Exodus 34:29). David, a man after God’s own heart, repeatedly cried out for God’s presence: “My heart says of You, ‘Seek His face!’ Your face, Lord, I will seek.” (Psalm 27:8).
But what does it mean for us today? Seeking God’s face is not about asking for blessings or favors—it’s about desiring Him. It means setting aside time to pray, worship, and meditate on His Word, not just for what He can give, but for who He is. When we seek Him with sincerity, He promises that we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).
Application:
Set aside time today to seek God through prayer and worship, not just with requests but with a heart that longs to know Him more.
Meditate on Psalm 27:8 and ask God to reveal more of Himself to you.
Remove distractions that keep you from prioritizing His presence—whether it’s busyness, worry, or entertainment.
Prayer:
Father, I desire to seek Your face above all else. Draw me closer to You, and let my heart long for Your presence. Remove any distractions that keep me from knowing You more. Thank You for Your promise that when I seek You, I will find You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
May you walk in the joy of His presence today. Keep seeking His face!
